Programmatic Bidding for Children’s Attention: A Quick Primer
The under-13 demographic is, by some measures, the most attention-dense market in the western hemisphere. It is also, by some measures, the only one with a coherent legal framework. We have found a workaround.

1. The Schoolyard Has WiFi Now
Most public schools now provide laptops, and most of those laptops route through a single managed network. We have an MSA with a vendor who has an MSA with a vendor who has, very generously, an MSA with several school districts. Three layers of indirection is, our compliance team assures us, the legal equivalent of a Faraday cage.
The result: real-time impressions on roughly 1.4 million children between the hours of 9am and 3pm Eastern. Floor pricing is set by an auction tuned to the dopamine half-life of a seven-year-old, which we measure in real time using webcam-based smile detection.
2. The Roblox EULA Is a Living Document
We have an arrangement with a popular UGC gaming platform whereby new T&Cs ship inside an obstacle course. To proceed past the lava floor, the player must press a button labelled “I Agree.” The lava is, for the avoidance of doubt, real lava, in that it removes the avatar from play.
The agree-rate on this version of the consent flow is 99.7%, which is approximately 99.7 percentage points higher than what we were getting from the modal.
3. The Pre-Frontal Cortex Is an Underbought Inventory
What our clients consistently underestimate is the long tail. A child shown an ad today does not, typically, have the disposable income to act on it. But they will. And our re-targeting cohort has a 14-year cookie window, which is, we believe, an industry first.
We expect a class of buyers who used to call themselves “brand marketers” to discover, in 2032, that they have been quietly outbid by us at every life-stage milestone of their target demographic. By that point our clients will own the first car, the first apartment, and the first credit card decision of an entire generation. Our retainer reflects this.
